You should put leak detectors in locations where water damage might begin, such as the laundry room, water heater closet, bathroom, beneath your kitchen sink, and other similar locations, much as it is important to have smoke detectors in each of your home's bedrooms and common spaces. Leak alarms may not be as crucial for tenants, but landlords may wish to take them into account. However, this begs the question of how the sensors would link to the internet. Later, more on that.
